Sivamani has played drums for numerous film score composers from Tamil Nadu. His drumming has graced many Indian films, including Roja, Rang De Basanti, Swades, Taal, Lagaan, Dil Se.., Guru, Kabul Express, and Rockstar. Some of the notable songs he has contributed to include “Kadhal Rojave,” “Pudhu Vellai Malai,” “Chaiyya Chaiyya,” and “Nadaan Parinde.”

Sivamani has also displayed his acting skills in two Telugu films: Padamati Sandhya Ragam and Sirivennela. He has also acted in the Hindi film Madaari (2016).

In 2009, Sivamani was honored with the Kalaimamani award by the Tamil Nadu government, the highest state honor in the field of arts. He received the prestigious Padma Shri award from the Government of India in 2019, recognizing his immense contribution to music.
