Devansh Pathak: The Drummer Behind Serenaders
Music often begins as a passion discovered at a young age, and for Devansh Pathak, that passion took the form of rhythm and drums. Devansh started his drumming journey when he was just 10 years old, while studying in class 5. His early introduction to music came through Tansen Mahavidyalaya of Music, where he began learning the fundamentals of drumming and rhythm.
From the beginning, Devansh showed dedication toward developing his skills. He pursued formal training in drums and enrolled in the certification program of Trinity College London, one of the most recognized music examination boards in the world. Through consistent practice and learning, he successfully cleared Grade 3 in drums and is now continuing his musical education with the aim of completing Grade 8, which represents an advanced level of musical proficiency.
Live performance has been an important part of Devansh’s musical development. His first stage performance took place in CR Park, organized through Tansen Mahavidyalaya of Music. That experience marked the beginning of his journey as a performing drummer. Over time, Devansh continued to perform at various venues, including several popular cafés and well-known places like Starbucks, gaining valuable experience playing in front of live audiences.
As his confidence and experience grew, Devansh decided to take the next step by forming a band with his school and college friends. The band, named “Serenaders,” was created with the goal of performing together and exploring different styles of music. Since its formation, the band has been actively participating in live shows and musical events.
One of their recent highlights was participating in a Battle of the Bands competition, where the group performed strongly and secured a place among the Top 5 bands in the competition. This achievement reflects both their talent and their commitment to developing their music as a team.
Today, Devansh Pathak continues to grow as a drummer, combining formal musical education with live performance experience. With his dedication to mastering the drums and performing with his band Serenaders, he represents a new generation of young musicians steadily building their place in the live music scene.
