India is home to millions of creative voices. From singers and rappers to songwriters, composers, music producers and instrumentalists, independent musicians are creating music in different languages, genres and regions.
Now, independent artists from across India have an opportunity to come together under one common identity.
I Am an Independent Artist is a movement powered by The Loyal Studios (TLS), encouraging musicians from every part of India to proudly identify themselves as independent artists.
Whether you are from Delhi, Mumbai, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Assam or any other part of India, this movement welcomes you.
What Is the I Am an Independent Artist Movement?
I Am an Independent Artist is a movement created to bring independent music creators together across India.
Its purpose is simple: to celebrate independent artists, encourage creative freedom and build a growing community of musicians.
You do not need to belong to a traditional music label to join.
You can be an independent singer, rapper, songwriter, composer, music producer, instrumentalist or band member.
Every artist has a musical identity, and this movement gives independent musicians a common platform to express it.
A Movement for Independent Artists Across India
India has a diverse music culture. Every state has its own musical traditions, languages, sounds and creative communities.
From Punjabi music and Hindi pop to Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Bhojpuri and regional independent music, artists across India contribute to the country’s musical diversity.
The I Am an Independent Artist Movement aims to bring these different musical communities together.
It does not matter which city you live in, which language you sing in or which genre you create.
If you are an independent music creator, you are welcome to join.

One India. One Independent Artist Movement.
Independent music has no geographical boundaries.
An artist from a small town deserves the same opportunity to express their creativity as an artist from a major city.
A singer from Punjab, a rapper from Delhi, a composer from Mumbai, a producer from Chennai or a songwriter from Kolkata can all share the same independent identity.
This is what the movement celebrates.
Do not wait for someone else to recognise your independent identity.
Be proud of who you are.
